Since the start of the 18th century Timmermans has being brewing true lambic beers, with 30% of wheat used in the process in the town of Itterbeck and with it the being exposed to the air and microbes in the Senne Valley and it being created by spontaneous fermentation. It was taken on in 1993 by Martin’s Finest Beer Selection, a distributer in Antwerp, who has preserved both the brewing process and the area it is brewed in.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

Very dark with red hues and a thick pink head.

Aroma

Very strong smell of cherries with sour notes and a little bit of sweet cherry candy.

Taste

A little tartness which compliments the cherry flavour, some sweetness but not as much as the aroma would suggest.

Mouthfeel

Medium light body with a good level of carbonation and a nice creaminess.
