The first ever wheat dopplebock of Bavaria was created by the widowed wife of Georg III, Mathilde Schneider. The recipe for TAP 6, a strong and malty take on a traditional bock beer, was thought of so highly by the brewery that it hasn’t alter it one bit to this day with only its name slight changing from simply Schneider Aventinus.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

Pours a good, deep brown which is quite clear with only a little clouding with a tan head with nice lacing.

Aroma

Quite a potent alcoholic nose with some hints of cloves, banana and fruits.

Taste

Sweetness comes to the forefront with caramels and fruit with a finish of cloves and alcohol.

Mouthfeel

A very pleasant warmness with the liquid creamy and a full bodied.
