Starting out as a hobby by two brothers-in-law, La Chouffe was first created in early 1982 with the recipe whispered into their ears by gnomes, as the legend would have it, one of which is the company’s logo and adorns the bottles label.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

Golden blond with a very thick and white head which is retained throughout.

Aroma

Strong smells of yeast along with bananas subtle spices with a slight alcohol warmth.

Taste

A little sweet with a good wheat and yeast flavour with some hops just behind it.

Mouthfeel

Smooth with a medium feel and very easy to drink.
