Year of Origin 2001
Brewery Flying Dog Brewery, Frederick

Originally named Flying Dog In Heat Wheat, this was Flying Dog’s first German style Hefe and was created using German malts and hops. As is sometimes the case with Flying Dog beers it did cause a few problems with it being banned from sale in Arkansas for both the name and the image on the bottle. Its name was changed, dropping the ‘In Heat’ from the bottle and just going with Hefeweizen.
